Micro World Championship 2005
Lake Usma, Latvia

The 2005 Micro World Championship concluded on Saturday with six races sailed on Usma Lake, Latvia. 33 Micros competed and it was Poland's Piotr TARNACKI who took home the title.
The regatta was plagued by light winds with the third day's racing cancelled altogether. Defending champion Piotr TARNACKI (POL) sailing Willa Hopfer-Soncas won four of the six races to take the 2005 World title in emphatic style.

Vjaceselev FROLOV (RUS) came in second, not once finishing outside the top four but just two points ahead of fellow Russian Jevgenij NIKIFOROV.
