From the 29 July-1 August sailing took centre stage on Lake Ohrid in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia with the Ilindenska Regatta Ohrid. Hosted by the AMAC SP-BOFOR boat club, sailors both young and old took part in races in the Optimist, Laser, Mistral, Europe, Flying Junior and 470.

After a very tight series in the Optimist, Greece's Alexandros SAZZNIDI came out on top ahead of Bulgaria's Nikolai SAEV and Dimitar VANGELOV. The girls' title went to Bulgaria with Karina VANGELOVA taking the honours, whilst Greece won again in the under 12s competition thanks to Alexander SPASCS.

In the Laser the home sailors had great success taking the top two places with Martin PEJOSKI a clear winner after three bullets from five races. The FYRo Macedonia were guaranteed victory in the Europe, with all the competitors coming from the home country and Alexsandra ZARICIN won with a perfect four point score. There was more home success in the Flying Junior with victory going to Slavco MOŠOSKI and RAKIMOSKI.

Victory in the Mistral went to Aleksandrov STOIL from Bulgaria, who also claimed the 470 crown thanks to OKOV and VAGILEV.
