Neil ANDERSON, President of Sailability NSW Inc. has announced the establishment of a public relations function as part of moves to build on the established success of the organization. Former corporate public affairs manager Graeme ADAM has been appointed to fill the position in an honorary capacity effective 1 February.
'Graeme ADAM has had a significant career in public relations first with PR consultancies and in corporate life with Volvo Car Australia and Premier Automotive Group, said Anderson. 'He has been involved with a number of sailing events including the World Sailing Championships in Melbourne, the Volvo Youth Sailing ISAF World Championships in Sydney (2000) and the Sydney Stopover of the Volvo Around the World Yacht Race.

'During that period, he had extensive dealings with both the sailing media and Australian sailing organizations. He is an occasional but enthusiastic sailor,' added Anderson.

'This appointment will assist Sailability NSW to communicate its goals and activities more effectively, in order to attract sailors, funding and volunteers, the three essential ingredients for our successful growth in providing sailing opportunities for everyone, regardless of age or ability'.

Sailability NSW is one of eight state or territory organizations under the umbrella of Sailability Australia. Sailability Australia is represented within Yachting Australia by a committee chaired by former YA President Bruce DICKSON and is part of the world-wide Sailability organization. In NSW alone, there are 22 Sailability branches each running regular sailing days.
