Rolex Osprey Cup 2006

Betsy ALISON (USA) was the star performer on day one of the ISAF Grade 1 Rolex Osprey Cup, going 13-0 to take the lead in St Petersburg, USA. World number one Claire LEROY (FRA) also made a good start and lies in second place.

After a one hour postponement for lack a of wind, the race committee was able to complete seven flights of five matches each on the first day. Winds ranged from five to nine knots throughout the day.

LEROY is 10-3 after two defeats against ALISON and one loss to 2002 ISAF Women's Match Racing World Champion Liz BAYLIS (USA). Anna TUNNICLIFFE (USA) lies third overall on a 9-4 scoreline, with BAYLIS fourth on 8-5.
