A Black Flag disqualification was given to Evan WALKER (Cruising Yacht Club of Australia) who entered early, was clear astern and hit the other boat and then a luff that was judged too hard. This gave his opponent the RNZYS Pink girls team their second win for the day.
The breeze was a constant 10 - 14knot northerly and a total of seven flights were completed.
With the highest score of seven wins out of seven races Torvar MIRSKY from Fremantle Sailing Club was unbeatable on the water today, when asked about his day he replied;
'Consistent - I suppose.'Did you have fun out there today?'Yeah it was excellent racing and we had fun in the tide, this is the only place we sail in tide and it was a bit different.'
Who was your toughest race today?'Hamish ROUGHLEY from Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club, he had a penalty and got ahead of us but tried to pull it off and it didn't work'.
How did your day go David? 'Everything fitted together well and the crew work was good & we are happy! 'We didn't expect to be racing today, but it was great to get started! I was so nervous, my first race against Sam (Samantha OSBORNE ).'
