Yava Trophy 2006

On Wednesday the Race Committee were unable to hold any races because of the very shifty wind, but the weather was good for the Opening Ceremony and today a good easterly wind came to Ekaterinburg. Eleven flights (33 matches) were completed, leaving four more until the round robin is completed.

NIKIFOROV's only loss of the day came again Australia's Neville WITTEY, but crucially he got the better of NEUGODNIKOV to hold the lead at the end of day one. Behind these leading three the battle for fourth place is very tight.
