Racing Gets Underway In Argentina This Weekend

Torneo Otoño 2006

Buenos Aires, Argentina

On Saturday 1 April the ISAF Grade 3 Torneo Otoño gets underway in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with racing in the Laser, Laser Radial and 470s headlining the event organized by the Yacht Club Argentino.

Other ISAF classes set to compete are the 29er, 420, Laser 4.7, Snipe, Europe, Soling and J/24.

The competition in the J/24 will be used as a qualifier for pre-selection for the Pan American Games, whilst in the Europe, spots at the World and South American Championships will be up for grabs.

Racing in the Torneo Otoño will take place at the Yacht Club Argentino Dársena Norte headquarters, on 1-2 and 8-9 April. Entries will be excepted up until 1000 local time on Saturday 1 April, or Saturday 8 April for those classes only racing on the final weekend.
