Connect To Sailing

The Connect to Sailing Seminar is an open-to-all seminar starting an overview on the sport from the industry's perspective and concluding with a panel and audience discussion.
The Connect to Sailing Seminar will take place as part of the 2007 ISAF Annual Conference, from 1430-1800 hours on Sunday 4 November at the Hotel Palacio in Estoril. Presentations will be made by leading industry spokespersons, preceded by ISAF President, Goran PETERSSON, who will present ISAF's Strategic Plan.

Commenting on the seminar, the ISAF President said, "How to build on our success and grow the sport and the industry together for the future is a challenge that ISAF wishes to share with our industry partners."

The scene will be set by leading industry statisticians who will present data on participation and boat sales. The focus will then move to the industry from the different perspectives of the manufacturers of dinghies, keelboats, suuperyachts and the windsurfing world.

The Connect to Sailing seminar will be led by Alistair MURRAY (AUS) Managing Director of Ronstan International. MURRAY has worked tirelessly for the good of the sailing industry and has served with Sail America and Sail Melbourne, has won an Austrade "Export Hero" award and helped to establish the International Sailing Summit and the Sailing Division of BIA Victoria.

Amongst the speakers and panel members are; David GRAHAM - Performance Sailcraft Europe, Toby ALLIES - Pendennis Shipyard, Glenn BOURKE - Chief Executive of the Volvo Ocean Race, representatives from Beneteau, ICOMIA and the windsurfing industry.

All are welcome to attend.
