Ladies Match Cup 2007
Friedrichshafen, Germany

The opening two days of the ISAF Grade 1 Ladies Match Cup 2007, coordinated by the INTERBOOT at Lake Constance, were a complete success for the top ten in the ISAF World Match Race Rankings.
Favourite Lotte MELDGAARD PEDERSEN (DEN), the current world #2, proved herself convincingly with clear manoeuvres and the right feeling for wind and boat – she is the only one who has remained unbeaten after 11 races. The German participant, Silke HAHLBROCK (GER), world #8, has a total of nine victories and Josie GIBSON (GBR), world #15, has seven wins. Therefore, participation in the finale is almost certain for all three skippers.

The Ladies Match Cup, with 10,000 euros prize money, is categorized as an ISAF Grade 1 event, is now in its third year and is considered as one of the top events for international women’s’ teams. The double round robin will continue up to and including Saturday with a total of fourteen flights. The finals will take place on Sunday. Further information at www.interboot.de.
