Team GBR have been working hard over the past six months to put together a new and dynamic commercial sponsorship strategy. The objective is to add to the lottery funding received from UK Sport by attracting commercial sponsor/supplier partners in a programme that will benefit the overall team as well as the individual sailors campaigning for the 2008 Olympic Games. Gul is the first official partner to sign up to this new programme.

Stephen PARK, RYA Team GBR Team Manager, commented, 'We are very excited that Gul have agreed to join the team and I look forward to working closely with them over the next four years to develop some truly innovative and stylish products that both deliver the performance that the sailors require but also help to enhance to overall brand image of our team.'

A new range of team clothing, comprising of both technical sailing products as well as onshore team lifestyle clothing will start to be developed with immediate effect. Gul plans to work closely with the sailors to deliver new and innovative fabrics listening closely to feedback from testing stages. A range of official team merchandise will also be made available from January 2006 onwards.
