"This ISAF event is of huge benefit to all Emerging nations in the ISAF family as well as those that have developed national Training programmes. The ability for us to share our experiences and learn from each other in this type of open forum is perfect for growing the sport. I hope that many ISAF Member Nations in Africa take this opportunity to come to Cape Town to join the event and benefit from the interactive workshops and presentations on offer. They can make a big difference and with the many new ISAF tools it will help them to speed up the process of National Programme development. South African Sailing is proud to host this event and we hope to show all delegates as much of our development work as we can over the three days and of course help all delegates to experience some of the beautiful sights and culture that Cape Town has to offer.'"

ISAF Training and Development Manager Dan Jaspers said, "After the huge success of this event in both 2012 and 2013 it is encouraging to already have a number of MNAs ask to return for the 2014 Symposium. The feedback from this year again confirmed that more communication with our members is key to our success and that the Development Symposium is providing the forum for just that, in a format that allows discussion and ideas sharing in an informal setting that is geared specifically towards areas of Training and Development. I want to thank the hard work of the team in South Africa that is working tirelessly with us to ensure that this event will be the best yet. This is definitely one event that you do not want to miss."
