Races 5,6,7 Completed On Saturday

The Gulf of St. Tropez did surprised the fleet yesterday by providing a steady 10 knots breeze from the east, with racing getting underway at 15.00 hours.

The first race was dominated by the French boat Twins 2 helmed by Erik MARIS followed by the Italians of Nerone. TWT was called back for being over the line early and was unable to recover the lost time finishing in tenth position.

In the second race the Race Committee moved the weather mark because of a wind shift of 20 degrees to the left, which changed the race course to bring the boats near to the shore. TWT, who was trying to sail up the shore, unfortunately run aground and retired from the race. The Italians on Joe Fly won the second race.

The third race gave TWT the opportunity to make up for the previous misfortunes and she finished in stile by winning this last race of the day.

The winner of the day was the French Twins 2 helmed by Erik MARIS. The leader of the overall series after 7 races is Nerone owned by Massimo MEZZAROMA and Antonio SODO, with Chris LARSON calling tactics.
