Cadiz, Spain

From 1-2 October 2005 Cadiz, Spain will host the first event for the new windsurfer Olympic class, the Neil Pryde RS:X.
The competition will precede the Raceboard World Championship 2005 which takes place from 3-8 October.

Cadiz will be the inaugural class event and will bring together the class windsurfers for the first time. The racing will follow a Neil Pryde Party on 30 September to celebrate the launch of the board.

1 October will see the first day of racing on the new board with three races scheduled for the afternoon. Meetings will be held on the morning of 1 October to address a number of issues on the future development of the class. The second day of racing will follow the same format with meetings during the morning and the conclusion of the competition in the afternoon.

All Neil Pryde RS:X sailors are invited to attend the event and the Notice of Race will be published shortly. Check the ISAF Website and the Neil Pryde RS:X Website for further updates.

The Neil Pryde RS:X will be part of the ISAF Graded event tour and will be included in the ISAF World Sailing Rankings from the 1 January 2006. To date, for ISAF events it has been confirmed that the RS:X will be the equipment used at the 2006 ISAF World Sailing Games on Lake Neusiedl, Austria and the 2007 ISAF Sailing World Championships in Cascais, Portugal.
