ISAF Sailing World Championships 2007

Just seven weeks remain until the start of the 2007 ISAF Sailing World Championships, taking place in Cascais, Portugal from 28 June-13 July. Media have until 31 May to complete the online accreditation form on the official website of the Championships -

The famous Nortada wind and the beautiful bay of Cascais will form a spectacular combination and the perfect backdrop for the world's best sailors to take centre stage. Over 1,600 athletes from 75 nations are set to battle for eleven World Championship titles and Olympic qualification in the biggest-ever event for the Olympic Classes and one of the highlights of ISAF's Centenary year.

All Media wishing to attend the Championships will require accreditation. The Media Accreditation application form is available online at the Championship website and should be completed by 31 May. After 31 May, on-site accreditations only will be available.

About The 2007 ISAF Worlds

The 2007 ISAF Sailing World Championships will take place from 28 June-13 July in Cascais, Portugal. 'The Wind Is Calling' is the official motto for the 2007 Worlds. The Championships are the principal qualification regatta for the 2008 Olympic Sailing Competition, with 75% of all national places to be decided.
