A-Catamaran World Championship 2005
Lake Sanguinet, France

America's Pete MELVIN is the new A-Catamaran World Champion after the conclusion of racing on Lake Sanguinet, France last week.
Despite not recording a bullet during the eight races, MELVIN had the title secured with a race to go after sailing an incredibly consistent series which included five second places. Behind MELVIN, defending Champion, Glenn ASHBY (AUS) had a run of three bullets to finish the Championship and claim second place above fellow Australian Steven BREWIN.

A little further back Michael TOBLER (SUI) placed fourth and Scott ANDERSSON (AUS) fifth. Robert NAGY was the highest of the French sailors in seventh.
