Sarah STEYAERT (FRA) has shown that she belongs to the top. On the last day of the races she sailed a third and first position, winning the second place overall. Alberte LINDBERG from Denmark sailed a 17th and fourth position. Though this can be seen as a mix of a good and bad day of racing, it did mean that she won bronze! For those who were cheering on the local talent of Gea JUTJENS (NED) many were celebrating at the end of the day with her coming in fourth place. It means that she has qualified for a half-nomination for the Olympics.
PATON, though with disappointing 26,13 results on the final day, became the World Champion Laser Radial 2007 for the men. It was a close call with until the very end as to who would win - PATON or Eduard VAN VIANEN (NED)? With a difference of two points only the title belongs to PATON. For the Dutch competitors this event was a huge success. Three men on he podium of which the silver and bronze were both for the Dutch. Steven KROL was very pleased with third place, according to him, ''It's a good way to end such a fantastic event'.
