ISAF Training Commission

The ISAF Training Commission is carrying out a full review of all existing MNA Learn to Sail programmes - find out more about the scheme and how to be involved...
In November 2006 the ISAF Executive Committee created the ISAF Training Commission with the specific remit of devising a policy and a programme to provide an ISAF Blue Print for an Member National Authority (MNA) "Learn to Sail" Training Programme.

The Training Commission has recommended a course of action that includes a full review of all existing MNA Learn to Sail training programmes. Through this review, ISAF can understand the different types of programme in place in order to develop a blueprint to best deliver for the sport around the world. ISAF will also be able to have an understanding of a broad range of source data and best practice in place.

So that this important work can commence, the Training Commission urgently requires details of all existing MNA Learn to Sail training programmes. This should include full details of:

- The training programme syllabus (course content)
- Programme management systems, structures and protocols
- Instructor profiles and qualifications
- Award levels and award systems
- Recognition of programme by any independent sports authority or government organization or other

All MNAs wh ohave a "Learn to Sail" training programme and wish to be included in this important initiative please:
