The Championship website includes the Notice of Race, details on the host club, all the latest news on the Worlds and a beginners guide to match racing.
Racing for a crew of four in First Class 8 type boats is scheduled from 7-11 August, with a round robin followed by a repechage and then quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final.
Invitations to the 2007 Worlds have been issued to the defending champion Dorte JENSEN (DEN), along with the ten top ranked skippers from the 1 February 2007 release of the ISAF World Match Race Rankings. The 12th and final skipper will be a wildcard selected by the host Sport Nautique de Saint Quay-Portrieux, the Fédération Française de Voile and ISAF.
The Sport Nautique de Saint Quay-Portrieux has a long association with match racing, and women's match racing in particular. The St Quay Womens Match Racing was first given ISAF Graded status in 1999 and went on to become an ISAF Grade 1 event in 2002. In 2004 the club hosted the EuroSAF European Women's Match Racing Championship, and in August they will become the first French hosts of the ISAF Women's Match Worlds.
