Athens Olympic gold medallists AYTON and WEBB teamed up with WILSON in October last year and posted an impressive second place at the ISAF Grade 1 Rolex Miami OCR, only the second ISAF Graded event for the new line up. Lining up for their second regatta on Biscayne Bay, the Brits started strongly in a high quality Yngling fleet, featuring 16 crews from ten nations.

Anna BASALKINA, Vladislava UKRAINTSEVA and Ekaterina MAXIMOVA (RUS) lie in second place, four points further back and just one point ahead of Ulrike SCHUEMANN, Julia BLECK and Ute HOEPFNER (GER). Miami winners Sally BARKOW, Carrie HOWE and Debbie CAPOZZI (USA) slipped up with a 13th in the day's second race and lie eighth overall.

Athens Europe gold medallist Siren SUNDBY (NOR) is again competing in the Yngling having finished the opening series strongly in the Miami OCR. However, together with Lise Birgitte FREDRIKSEN and Alexandra KOEFOED (NOR) she could only manage scores of 15,9 on the opening day of the North Americans to lie 13th overall.

Ten races are scheduled on Biscayne Bay, with racing from 1-4 February.

The Yngling North American Championship is taking place as part of the Winter Circuit surrounding the ISAF Grade 1 Rolex Miami OCR.
