Barcelona, Spain

Lucia REYES (ESP) gives the hosts one top spot after the second day of racing at the ISAF Grade 2/3 Pharo Regatta-Barcelona Olympic Sailing Week. After a great opening day, a southwesterly breeze of 10-12 knots provided excellent conditions for the second day in Barcelona.

REYES leads after five races in the Laser Radial, with a 1,3,4 scoreline from Sunday's racing putting her ahead of the on form Gintare VOLUNGEVICIUTE (LTU) and fellow Spaniard Susana ROMERO (ESP).

Mike BULLOT (NZL) recovered from a 14th in the opening Laser race to post two bullets and stay ahead of favourite Gustavo LIMA (POR). In the Men's 470 fleet, Andreas KOSMATOPOULOS and Andreas PAPADOULOS (GRE) are a point ahead of Matthias SCHMID and Florian REICHSTAEDLTER (AUT). The young Swiss team of Emmanuelle ROL and Anne-Sohie THILO lead the women's fleet with World Championship silver medallists Ai KONDO and Naoko TAMATA (JPN) in second place.

The invited Europe class completed their series yesterday, with last year's winner Marc PARIS (ESP) taking victory with a race to spare.
