The Coordination Commission will tour Olympic venues and meet members of the Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad - Beijing 2008 (BOCOG) in order to assist BOCOG and observe the progression of work in the lead-up to the 2008 Games.

The Commission will spend part of its trip visiting venues around the Olympic Green and Wukesong areas. This will give Commission members the opportunity to observe first-hand the progress that is being made in venue construction.

The Coordination Commission will spend the rest of its visit to Beijing discussing a wide range of topics with BOCOG. These topics will cover areas such as Games budget, structures, venue management, communications, sport, marketing and ticketing, accommodation, the Olympic Village and Authority and NOC relations. These meetings will allow the Commission members to gauge the progress of the Beijing 2008 project and to share their experience of previous Games with the local organizers.

The Games of the XXIX Olympiad - Beijing 2008 will take place from 8-24 August 2008. The Games in Beijing will play host to 28 sports with approximately 10,500 athletes expected to participate and around 20,000 accredited media on site, ready to bring the Games to the world.
