Website Guide

Welcome to the new version of, the home of the International Sailing Federation. Find out more about our new website here.
The aim of the new ISAF website is to present the excitement of the sport of sailing, provide key statistics and make it easier and quicker to find the information you want to know about the sport.

Here's a quick guide to some of the new feature on the website.

First of all we've made it quicker and easier to log into or register with ISAF Sailor. From anywhere on the website simply enter your User ID and password into the Sailor Login boxes at the top of the page and click Login - or if you're new to ISAF Sailor click register.

The site is now split into eight main sections, identified with tabs along the top. From each of these sections you can access all the information on the ISAF website via the menus of the left-hand side.

Home Page

Our new home page now features a mini gallery of our favourite sailing images along with the latest news from the sailing world. You can also navigate straight to our latest feature sections, check up the top ranked sailors, who's been updating their sailor biogs and the key events coming up.


From here you can find the latest news about ISAF and from key events around the world.

About ISAF

Here you can find out all the information about the International Sailing Federation and its Member Nations, including details on the ISAF Centenary, ISAF meetings and the ISAF Rolex World Sailor of the Year Awards.


Here you can find out more about ISAF Sailor and the ISAF Sailor Classification Code. There's also details on disabled sailing, women's sailing, the environment, Connect to Sailing and much more.


From here you can search for ISAF Race Officials, find out about upcoming seminars and clinics, look at the Racing Rule Q&A service and get all the info about officiating the sport.

Events & World Rankings

From here you can view the ISAF World Sailing Rankings, ISAF World Match Race Rankings and ISAF Calendar of Events.

Boat Classes

All the information on the ISAF website relating to technical details and classes is now altogether in one place. As well as the boat classes homepage each individual class has its own page with all the latest news, events and class rules and reports.


Over the years ISAF has produced hundreds and hundreds of documents, whether they be submissions, racing rules, classification codes or class rules. These are now all collected together into a single Document Management System, making it far easier and quicker to find the information you're after. Just go to Documentation. You can search by name and/or document type, and search back through papers from previous ISAF meetings.

Click on any document to see further details and any archive versions. Simply click on the file name or the link to view the document.

The launch of the new is a starting point for ISAF to expand its web presence. We're currently working on our new Olympic site and new and improved sites for ISAF Events. Watch this space.
