Topper European Championships 2005
Ringsend, Ireland

The official launch of the Topper European Championships will take place at Ocean Bar on Charlotte Quay, Ringsend, Ireland at 1500 hours local time on Thursday 12 May.
Minister for the Environment Mr. Dick ROCHE, TD will attend the launch along with Irish Sailing Association President (ISA), Robert DIX and ISA Chief Executive Officer, Cormac BRADLEY.

The ISA has approved a grant of €20,000 towards the hosting of the event which will take place in Blessington Sailing Club, Wicklow, Ireland from 14-19 August 2005.

A fleet in excess of 150 young sailors, ranging mainly in age from ten to 16 years, is expected to contest the championships. Sailors from Great Britain, Germany and as far away as Dubai are expected at the European Championships. The Topper is one of the two largest junior fleets in Great Britain and is the fastest growing junior fleet there.
