The Race

Virtual Spectator will be tracking the international fleet of six boats - Club Med (FR - skipper Grant Dalton), Innovation Explorer (FR - Loick Peyron), PlayStation (USA - Steve Fosset), Team Adventure (USA - Cam Lewis), Team Legato (UK - Tony Bullimo...

This version is available free of charge and includes the leaderboard and 3D animation allowing you to zoom in and out on the fleet, change your camera angles and select the boats you want to watch. For the first time in an offshore race, the data will be updated every 4 hours - so you will be able to be right with the boats and watch their every move.

On board the boats, everyone is busy: a change of battens on PlayStation, new Inmarsat B antenna on Team Adventure, a change of batten cars on Warta Polpharma, rope work on Team Legato, Tony Bullimore's boat which is currently welcoming some new members of crew on board: Englishman Richard Tolkien, the Australian Paul Larsen and another Englishman Alex Bennet. On Club MEd, the only things occupying the crew are the check-lists, because the boat is ready and raring to go, much to the satisfaction of Philippe Bourgignon, who arrived in Barcelona at midday today.
