Mercedes Grand Prix and Soling Masters World Championship 2005
Balatonfüred, Lake Balaton, Hungary

The Hungarian team of Balazs GYENESE, Andrej Monus and Karoly VEZER have won the Mercedes Grand Prix on their home waters with a race to spare.
The fight continues for second place between the German team helmed by Roman KOCH, and just three points behind them, the Austrians helmed by Carl AUTERIED.

The Masters is a three way battle between the favourites, helmed by AUTERIED, and two Hungarian teams helmed by George WOSSALA and Gabor BANKUTY.

Sunday started with bad weather, rain and no wind, but in the afternoon a breeze of 15 knots built from the north and a triangular course was raced, although the wind dropped on the last leg. The second race took place in a very light breeze and came very close to the time limit. Victory in this race, preceded by a second earlier in the day, means the team of Balazs GYENESE can take it easy tomorrow having secured the Grand Prix title.
