Another day of intensely competitive racing will decide the podium places in the Sydney 38 Nationals on Pioneer Bay, Australia today.
While Victorian Lou Abrahams and his Another Challenge crew are set to be crowned national champions, the battle for second and third will be intense.

The three boats vying for the places are Matt Wenke's Prosail Team Next (on 24 points) with Alec Barrass - Tazzie 2 and Rob Macmillan's Yeah Baby (both on 27 points).

Alec Barrass who runs Teamsail Australia, management for many of the Sydney 38's, commented yesterday 'The racing is so close with these One Design boats that a single mishap can cost four or five places. Yesterday afternoon Yeah Baby was knocked down by a violent gust, which cost her places and the same could happen to any of us today'.

With such even racing Prosail Team Next, now in second place, can't afford to target the two boats just below her in points.

This mornings racing starts at 9am and breezes of 15-20 knots are again expected to provide perfect sailing conditions.

The final results, photos and news will be posted from the water today. The Hogs Breath presentation will made on the lawns of the Hogs Breath Café, overlooking the Lagoon this afternoon.
