Mistral World Championship
Varkiza

Nikos Kaklamanakis (GRE) and Lee Lai Shan (HKG) the Gold medallists in the Mistral Class at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta are winning the Worlds in Greece, with one day to go.
The wind blows for good at the east coast of Varkiza, which mens that sailors and organizers continue to have a great time racing against time. Yesterday there were three more races for each of the three categories.

In the Gold fleet, Nikolas Kaklamanakis of Greece raced better than anyone else and finished 1st, 2nd and 9th. With these results and after seven completed races, Kaklamanakis is leading the Gold fleet, with two points less than Frenchman Fabrice Hassen, who is in second place overall.

In the womens fleet, after three more races, Lee Lai Shan from Hong Kong is in front, with 19 points. Merret Faustine of France is second and Amelie Lux of Germany third. The championship will continue today with hopefully three more races.
