470 Junior World Championship

Four races have been completed at the 470 Junior World Championship. Here follows race reports on Races 3 and 4 by Yalcin Gurkan.

Race 3

NW wind force 1-2 at the start, the wind died and at the mark no 3 the committee has abandonned the race (shift from 310 to 230).

New start for the same race, general recall, another attempt with black flag this time, 14 boats were over the line subject to the black flag application. General recall at the third attempt still under black flag, clear start, Italian Alberto Bolzan & Federico d'Amico lead the race for all marks followed by Turkish Levent Celebi & Efe Karakaplan, the third finisher being Nicolas Chanbonnier & Stephane Chiristidis from France.

Race 4

NW wind force 1-2, correct start at second attempt after a general recall, tricky winds, time to time refreshing. This was the victory of the Greek Team, leading all race and finishing with the following order:

Panagiotis Mantis & Theodoros Polyehronidis, Panagiotis Kabouridis & Agelos Lemanis and finally Geranimos Orologas & Andreas Paleras. The fourth boat by distance was the french Charbonnier.
