One Ton Cup

ISAF Vice-President, George Andreadis (GRE), took the One Ton Cup Title in Pwllhelli, Wales on his ILC 45 Atalanti X, securing victory on Friday, with two races to spare.
Atalanti X did not need to sail the last two races, having achieved postings of seven 1st places and two 2nd places in the series.

Ben Ainslie (GBR) skippering Babbalas, took the bullets in Saturday's Races 10 and 11 to claim second place overall, with Hawk placing third.

The One Ton Cup was founded in 1899 by the Cercle de la Voile de Paris and is the oldest French trophy in yachting. It used to reward the winner of the first real time regatta for "one ton" boats, but since 1999 has been the ILC 45 World Championship. 2001 is the 79th holding of the One Ton Cup.
