Brazilian Revenge

Sudamericano de Match Race 2005

Buenos Aires, Argentina

Vivo Team from Brazil with Daniel GLOMB, Xico FREITAS and Rene GARRAFIELO won the ISAF Grade 3 South American Match Race Championship held at the Club Nautico San Isidro, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

GLOMB and the German Team Printus with Tino ELLEGAST, Arne GUELZOW, Zeno DANNER lined up for the final with two straight victories getting the Brazilians off to a flier. Then Team Printus won the third race, but the fourth went to Brazil and the game was over with the Brazilian victory.

The VDS Brazilian team with Nelson ILHA, Felipe ILHA and Adrion SANTOS, won in identical fashion against the local team Argentinean team of Martin BUSCH, Pablo NOCETI, Maximo FELDTMAN.

The Brazilian sailing strenght were clearly visualized with two teams in the podium. Next Year the event will be host by Brazil and again will use the Soling class.
