Singapore Leads Optimist Asians

Optimist Asian Championship 2005
Pattaya, Thailand

Championship in Pattaya, Thailand. Sean LEE, 24th in this year's Worlds, leads from Jovina 'Choo Choo' (as she is affectionately known), followed by twelve year old Russell KAN.
98 sailors are competing representing 13 Asian countries plus New Zealand. Racing has been excellent under the watchful eye of course consultant Mark PRYKE (AUS) and is ahead of schedule because of storm warnings later in the week.

Tomorrow individual racing is suspended to hold the Asian Team Racing Championship. The big question mark is whether Malaysia, silver medallists at this year's Worlds, can overcome the individually better ranked Singapore team.
