Italians Champions in Women and Open

420 World Championships

At the end of a very light wind regatta the home teams have domninated. Ten races were completed. On this final day, a 6 knot breeze from 070 at the start, changed to 090 caused the race committee to move the windward mark.

This did not give the sailors any trouble and the intensity of these last two races was maintained. Consistency at the top of the Ladies Fleet paid off whilst the Open fleet had many changes in the last race. Provisional results give the host nation the top 3 places in the Ladies and first in the Open.

2, R Medina/J Ruiz Cerezo (ESP) 66pts
3, B Danti/F Greggio (ITA) 76pts
4, M Pressich/G De Gavardo (ITA) 96pts
5, G & D Catta (ITA) 106pts
