Five Races To Go
No ALT tag specified

Laser North American Championships

The conditions have been classic summertime San Francisco. Foggy and light in the first race of the day each day, building breeze as the wind fills during the second races, breezy on the third.

The courses have all been Laser World Championship Trapezoid courses, set to their recommended length. This has worked well in the early races on the last of the ebb tide. The final race of the day (the breezy one) has been in flood and so far both have been really long. So, everyone is tired. But very well fed so happy.

In the Laser Class, Steve Bourdow currently heads the leader board with Kurt Taulbee and Mark Mendelblatt hot on his heels. The rest of the top ten include Clay Johnson, Bernard Luttmer, Andrew Childs, Brett Davis, Ben Richardson, Andrew Campbell and Nathaniel Stoffelsma. In all 65 boats on the water racing.

In the Radial Class, Reed Johnson and Vince Porter have leading the 25 boat fleet.

Five more races over the next two days!
