Wojtek Brzozoski (POL) and Dorora Staszewska (POL) both current Formula Windsurfing World Champions are leading the Polish Euro Cup event taking place in Miedzyzdroje, Poland.
The wind from the weather forecasts came at last, but late at 5 pm and gave us a chance for three very exciting races. First two races belonged to Wojtek (POL) after a hard fight with Antoine Albeau (FRA), Jesper Vesterstorm (DEN) and Steve Allen (AUS). In the third race Antoine gave no chance to Sam Ireland (CAN) and Brian Rogild (DEN). Wojtek, after a very bad start, finished at seven place.
The races were so close to the beach that spectators had excellent view on the fight on the water.
After four races Wojtek is on the lead, Antoine is second and Jesper Vesterstorm third. In the top ten are two more Poles, brothers Jarek and Przemek Miarczynski (Polish Olympian from Sydney 2000).
Dorota Staszewska (POL) and Anna Graczyk (POL) are having a close battle overall after day two, Dorota won two of the races and had a third, whilst Anna had a first, second and third.
After very windy night we looked forward more exciting races, and two more were completed. In the first Arnon Dagan (ISR) beat Antoine Albeau.. Wojtek had a very bad start but in the end finished third. In the second race Wojtek gave no chance to Jamie Lever (GBR) and Arnon. It was an unlucky race for Antoine who finished 21.
Polish Olympian Przemek Miarczynski finished 5 and 4 and is now in fourth position after 6 races.
World Champion Dorota Staszewska is beginning to assert herself on this event with two wins today giving her a lead over Anna Graczyk in second, and Christine Becker (GER) in third.
