420 World Championships
Marina de Ravenna

Racing recommenced today after the 420 World Team Race Championship and a lay day, at Marina de Ravenna, Italy. Eight races have now been completed.
The hot and sunny and light conditions continue which caused a postponement of about 45 minutes for the first start. The light on shore breeze was insuffient to start race seven on time.

In the Open fleet of 100 boats, these conditions caused some frustration and at the bottom mark. Huge rafting will keep the jury busy tonight!

The Ladies, with 54 boats manage well but being very competitive, will still be up late with protests tonight! Positions are frequently changing so the final 4 races will be tightly fought in this very keen fleet. All the pasta is giving the sailors plenty of energy for these races plus socialising at night.
