Argentenians Win Team Racing

Optimist World Championships

Japan took silver in today' s Team-Racing Championship behind the traditionally strong Argentinians. China just missed out on the medals placing 4th behind last year's bronze medallists Croatia.

Dramatic results at the Optimist Worlds.

With five races finally sailed, the minimum to constitute a championship, the leader board is:

1. Abdul Rahim (Malaysia)
2. Lucas Calabrese (Argentina)
3. Zhu Ye (China)

The first girl is also Chinese, Xu Lijia in 9th place over-all.

There is just one more days racing to decided the Optimist World Champion for 2001.
