Loof (SWE) is still leading the event taking place in Skodstrup, Denmark.
After a day with only one race and not too much wind, SWE 7650 with helmsman Fredrik Lööf and crew Magnus Liljedahl, is still in the lead. Todays race, though, was no success for the leading Swedes, who after a bad start, managed to take some boats. But they never made it all the way up to the leading boats, and crossed the finishing line in 24th position
Today's race, was won by ITA 7827, helmsman Nicola Celon and crew Eduardo Natucci, placed no. 28 after 5 races. RUS 7798, Sergej Kramskej and Andreas Kliver, over all placed as no. 12, came in second, and Riccardo Simoneschi and Ferdinando Colannino ITA 8014 finished third. After 5 races they are also in third place.
The local sailors, Kent Dalsbo and Karsten Svenningsen DEN 7147, finished as no. 11, and DEN 7854, Benny Andersen and Mogens Just, were disqualified ( they were on the course side of the starting line before the start with start restriction black flag ) and has now moved down to no. 11 after 5 races. Right behind DEN 7994 Nicklas Holm and Marin Leifelt who finished 26 today.
The best placed Danish boat, as well in the race today as total after 5 races, is DEN 8061 with Christian Rasmussen and Peter Oersted. They finished 4 today and is in second place after 5 races, and anything can happen tomorrow. If tomorrow's race turns out as today's race, the new European champions are Danes.
The first two days of sailing was held in good wind, however today the wind had decreased and by the end of the day almost disappeared.
