One race of today has been postponed till tomorrow (Friday), 10:30. This means that three races are scheduled for tomorrow, which also is the last day of the 470 Masters Cup.
The weather forecast predicts a little less wind, some rain and maybe thunderstorms. It is not an unreasonable thought that also tomorrow sailing will be impossible, or just a part of the races will be completed as a conclusion of the event.
The second day of the Intl 470 Class Masters Cup saw a similar battle between Switzerland, Germany, France and The Netherlands as the previous day. With four races completed and at least five to go, the game is still open. Stefan SEGER / Dominik LIENER from Switzerland are leading by four wins.
Although the weather forecast predicted some heavy conditions of over 20 knots breeze and rain, only a quite steady 15 knots breeze and a few grey clouds now and then crossed the race course. The direction of wind only changed in a friendly way, allowing the Race Management to change the course within reasonable limits.
At the final downwind track of race three, Switzerland and Germany chose the left side, while Holland successfully chose to attack from the right. They were unfortunate at the final reach when the spinnaker slipped, letting Germany easily take back it's second position.
During the second race the sky cleared and so did the wind. Switzerland took the lead again in an unbeatable defending position, hunted by its main opponents. On the second upwind track Holland chose to attack again from the other side, this time in a less profitable way by letting France take it's position to finish in fourth place.
Only two races were scheduled and completed. In the afternoon, 470 Masters enjoyed a trip to Amsterdam as part of the 470 Masters Cup Festival.
