Belgian SL16 Prepare To Launch

ISAF Youth Sailing World Championship 2011
Zadar, Croatia

It is another beautiful sunny day in Zadar, Croatia for the third day of the 41st ISAF Youth Sailing World Championship.
To recap on the action from yesterday, three races took place in the Laser Radial Boys and Girls. The boys have now sailed five races with Giovanni Coccoluto leading the pack and the girls have sailed four with Paulina Czubachowska leading the way.

The 420 Boys and Girls have each sailed three races and Lara Vadlau and Tanja Frank (AUT) lead the girls fleet and South Africa's Edie Lathinen and Joshua Rubenstein have a two point advantage in the boys fleet.

Three races have taken place in the RS:X Boys and Girls with standout performances from Cho Wonwoo (KOR) in the boys and Veronica Fanciulli (ITA) in the girls dominating early on.

The SL16 have sailed five races over the last two days and Brazil's Martin Lowy and Kim Andrade have a strong lead after winning four out of five races. And after five races in the 29er Carlos Robles Boy and Florian Trittel (ESP) have a five point lead at the top of the leader board.

In the morning there will be light wind turning from east to southwest by west by noon ranging from 5-7 knots.

In the afternoon the wind will pick up and be west by northwesterly ranging from 10-12 knots and wind speeds may even pick up from 14-16 knots in the mid afternoon.
