Invitation To International Race Management Seminar in Finland

ISAF Race Officials News

Candidates are invited to the ISAF International Race Managment Seminar in Espoo, Finland from 18-20 March 2011. The Seminar will be the first to use new content developed by the ISAF Race Officials Committee.
The ISAF Race Officials Committee have developed a higher-level, more interactive content for the Race Managmenet Seminars which will be used for the first time in Finland.

The Seminar will be hosted by 'Boating Finland' in cooperation with ISAF in Espoo, Finland. It will take place at the Boating Finland building, Westendinkatu 7, Espoo and will start at 16:00 (local time) on Friday 18 March. The Seminar will finish at 15:00 hrs on Sunday 20 March. A more detailed schedule will be sent after registration.

The seminar instructors will be Marinus Blickman (NED) and Charley Cook (USA) and they will be joined by Rob Lamb (GBR) who has developed the new seminar format.

Candidates who wish to attend should either have been appointed as a national Race Officer, have attended an ISAF Clinic or have proven experience of Race Managment at national level.

The cost of the Seminar is 160 Euros which includes the program, test and meals. Lodging is available at the Hanasaari Cultural Centre nearby and the total cost including bed and breakfast is 290Euros for single rooms and 260 Euros for double rooms.

The ISAF Race Official Seminar and Clinic programme aims to improve standards of officiating around the world by increasing the number of officials qualifying for ISAF International status. The programme depends on the co-operation of ISAF Member National Authorities (MNAs) who host the seminars.
