In the boys class, the newly crowned ISAF Youth Sailing World Champion, Yu Wing HO (HKG) was having a few problems stamping his authority on the fleet, only managing a seventh and a fifth to take fourth place overall. Byron KOKKALANIS (GRE) was having none of it. He won the two races with a clear lead. Late entry Tom ASHLEY (NZL), just back from a 4 month lay-off due to injury, has not lost any of his speed and clever tactical ability and had a very satisfactory day in the office with two seconds. !
Zofia stumbled on Day two - relatively speaking of course -she finished fourth in the second race of the day. Marina ALABAU (ESP) benefited from taking the first discard and from a good performance finishing first and second today to jump to second in the overall standings. Chan Wai MAN (HKG) has slipped to third as a result.
There seems no way back for Yu Wing HO (HKG) who seems to have met his nemesis in Byron KOKKALANIS (GRE) who scored a third yesterday and discarded his second result which was 18! Tom ASHLEY (NZL) also had a bad one finishing 19 in the first race of the day but made up for it in the second with a bullet. Second overall now, he leads Kamil TOPKA (POL) by 13 points!
