The ISAF Training and Development Department is extremely pleased to announce that the Turkish Sailing Federation (TYF) has signed a licence agreement for the amended content, print and sale of the ISAF Coaching Fundamentals publication.
The signing of this licence agreement will enable all sailors and coaches in Turkey to benefit from the information contained within the newly created resource. ISAF is fortunate to have benefitted from the IOC International Federations Development Fund which helped with this development and hopes that all forthcoming titles will compliment and continue to help ISAF MNAs to develop their own independent National Training Programmes.

If your country is in need of training resources for both Coaches and Sailors and you would like to discuss the possibility of purchasing the rights to any of our publications why not get in touch with the Training and Development Department at ISAF here.

The new chair of the TYF Training Committee, Mr Serdar Ahiskali said on behalf of President of TYF and ISAF Vice President in Charge of Training, Nazli Imre, ''The Turkish Yachting Federation is in the process of making education be the number one on its agenda this year. An aggressive program has been developed to standardize the instruction of sailing in Turkey and exponentially increase the number of participants.

"It is a great pleasure to note that this effort has not gone unnoticed by ISAF. This a welcoming sign of our relationship improving with the International Federation.''

Dan Jaspers, ISAF Training and Development Manager said of the latest news from Turkey, "This latest partnership with the Turkish Sailing Federation is very exciting indeed. We want all of our Member National Authorities to be able to adapt these publications to suit their own programmes if they so wish and by selling these books to both sailors and coaches within the MNA our member in Turkey is doing exactly that by generating much needed revenue to help further develop the National Sail Training Programme.

Dan added, "The Turkish Sailing Federation has had much success recently with the Official Government sign off of the new National Learn to Sail Programme helping them to receive some much needed funding and, having just purchased a large number of ISAF Learn to Sail Recommended Training Boats for use at sailing clubs throughout Turkey, we expect that these Coaching Publications will help the Turkish Coaches get some great results and help the growth of both recreational and competitive sailing."

We wish Turkey and all of the other MNAs who are currently working towards using these publications to compliment their National Learn to Sail Training Programme all the best and look forward to sharing more success stories with all of you, our international members, as we develop more resources for you to use.
