RS:X European Championship
Bourgas, Bulgaria

The women's leader board at the RS:X European Championship in Bourgas, Bulgaria sees Lee El Korzits (ISR) and Zofia Klepacka (POL) tied on eight points each whilst Poland's Piotr Myszka leads the men's fleet.
Korzits leads the women's fleet having won three races compared to the race wins Klepacka picked up in Race 4 and 6. The Israeli and Polish sailors are head and shoulders above the rest and Maja Dziarnowska (POL) is their closest rival 15 points behind in third place. Dziarnowska is eight points clear of ISAF Rolex World Sailor of the Year Blanca Manchon (ESP).

Meanwhile in the men's fleet Myszka has been battling for top spot with Byron Kokalanis (GRE). Between them the pair have won six races so far but Myszka leads the way on six points whilst the Kokalanis is second on eight points having finished third in the final race on the second day.

Israel's Shahar Zubari is in third on 13 points and is fighting for national selection and a possible London 2012 Olympic Sailing Competition spot with Nimrod Mashich (ISR). All was going well for Mashich up to the start of the last race of the day. The fleet split equally at either end of the start line and Mashich accelerated away on port at the gun and as the two halves of the fleet came together the Israeli was involved in a crash with Marcantonio Baglione (ITA). The both dialled down to avoid collision but Mashich lost a large chuck of his starboard bow.

Sailors enjoy a lay day today before racing recommenced on Thursday.
