Western Australia 2011 Pty Ltd (WA 2011) is the body responsible for delivering the Perth 2011 ISAF Sailing World Championships (Perth 2011) to be held 3-18 December 2011 in Perth.
WA 2011 seeks a suitably qualified and experienced individual to manage and implement the Cultural Festival Programme running in parallel to the World Championships.

The Perth 2011 Cultural Festival will be a wide ranging entertainment programme and will be largely based in the Perth 2011 Public Village on The Esplanade in Fremantle, but will also have a broader reach across the entire World Championships footprint.

Reporting to the Perth 2011 Shore Manager, the Cultural Programme Manager shall take a lead role in the design of the Perth 2011 Festival Programme working closely with key stakeholders such as the Federal Government, Eventscorp, City of Fremantle, Fremantle Ports and individual stallholders.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation and operations of the Perth 2011 Cultural Festival Programme.

This would also include liaising during the planning stage and managing the day to day operations of the various acts, marquees and exhibitions that will form part of the Perth 2011 Public Village structure.

The successful candidate will have at least seven years in similar roles within major sporting and cultural events. The position is on a fixed contract basis.
