The daily training program was composed of physical preparation and tactics briefings in the morning following by four to five hours of sailing in the afternoon, with speed test and races at the end of the sailing day. The day ended with video analysis.
On Thursday evening, a precise study of Quiberon bay allowed teams to understand current and wind subtleties before the Eurocat.
During the Eurocat, 18 SL16 teams from six countries and two continents were fighting to win the European title. The French team from the Yacht Club of Carnac, consisting of Pierre Renaud and Pablo Mathevet won five races out of six.
The first SL16 International Training was a great success, all youth and adult teams enjoyed the venue and will come back for the second International Training which will be held at La Baule, France from the 27-30 June, just before the ISAF Youth Worlds.
This time, teams from USA, New Zealand, Netherlands, Spain, Great Britain, Ireland and more will be there to prepare ISAF Youth Worlds and the SL16 Open World Championship. Contact Vincent Gueho to register for the training.
