Zephyrus V surged ahead of the fleet during the reaching leg through the Bahamas on the second day. She extended on the fleet through the Windward Passage and the final run to the finish in Montego Bay.

Renegade, expected to be second across the line, retired just south of Guantanamo Bay due to medical reasons. The ill crewmember, who was suffering from an irregular heart beat, was air lifted by the US Coast Guard and taken to hospital in Guantanamo Bay where the latest reports indicate he is resting comfortably. The boat continued onto Montego Bay where a disappointed crew were greeted by the welcoming committee.
The next boat expected to arrive is Equation followed by Rosebud and Donnybrook.
