Yachting Excellence Finalists Announced

Tickets are available now for the 2004 Yachting Excellence Awards to be held Saturday 20 November at the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron in Auckland.


In an initiative quite out-of-the-ordinary the selection panel have this year chosen not to disclose the names of the finalists for the big award.

We are pleased to offer tickets at the same rates as last year.
Adult : $90
Affiliated Club Member and Guest Rates: $85
Special Under 18: $75

The ticket price includes a lavish three-course meal and wine with your meal at the table. The evening will be lead by "the voice of Yachting" Peter MONTGOMERY and you will be entertained by a visual display of some historic sailing highlights footage. Not to mention the fact that this years Awards presentation is not to be missed! Gather a table of friends and enjoy a fabulous evening together with the Award finalists, the 2004 Olympic Sailing Team and fellow yachties.

The Synergi Travel 2004 Sailor of the Year will be revealed as a special announcement at the Awards Ceremony which will be an occasion not to be missed. If you are - or have been - part of the New Zealand Yachting Community, you should ensure that you have tickets.

The special announcement revealing who will receive the Sir Bernard Fergusson trophy is befitting of the occasion that this year represents. 2004 is the 50th anniversary of the national body for sailing in New Zealand and the evening will include a reflective look at some of the highlights in our nation's sailing career.

The Synergi Travel Sailor of the Year is not the only Award to be presented on November 20 and at the end of an exciting year of Junior and Youth Sailing that has produced some unprecedented results, the announcement of the 2004 Young Sailor of the Year will be equally anticipated.
