Team ABN AMRO Narrow Crew Selection

Volvo Ocean Race 2005-2006

Enkhuizen, Netherlands

Two Australians and three Europeans have been chosen by Dutch team ABn AMRO to go forward to the final stage of selection for their Volvo Ocean Race team.

The five sailors selected to go on to the final selection trials for the second Abn Ambro boat are Luke MOLLOY (AUS), Emil WIBERG (SWE), Phil HARMER (AUS), Jeremy ELLIOTT (IRL) and Simon SHAW (GBR). Seven other sailors have left the trials disappointed.

The final crew selection begins today in Portimao in the Algarve region, Portugal. Abn Ambro sailing director Roy HEINER had a special message for the five finalists. 'Portugal will be hard.'
