US SAILING's Executive Director Nick CRAW has announced he will be leaving the organization as of January 1, 2005. Craw has served in the position since December 2001.
After ensuring a smooth transition with his successor, Craw will return to Colorado where he will take over the presidency of the Automobile Competition Committee for the United States (ACCUS).

"Nick Craw has done an excellent job leading the organization to new heights," said US SAILING President Janet BAXTER. "Thanks to his hard work, US SAILING is in a solid position financially, with a talented staff, improved capacity to communicate and market, an upgraded infrastructure, and enhanced services for members."

"After three years, I have accomplished the strategic objectives we were faced with: to strengthen the financial condition of the organization and continue to improve the service to sailors that the organization has always been committed to," said Craw. "I feel that I have set the stage and the helm is now ready to be handed over to a successor who can continue to focus on the growth of the organization."

A Succession Task Force has been named to find the Association's next Executive Director. The Task Force will be led by Dave ROSEKRANS, Immediate Past President of US SAILING.
