Gideon KLIGER and Udi GAL (ISR)
This is also the time to thank all those who have believed in us and helped us to get so far and especially Olympic Solidarity and ISAF, whose scholarship since 2001 has enabled us dedicate ourselves to sailing only. Thanks to the scholarship, we stopped looking for different jobs and could concentrate and spend most of our time training and racing. Sailing is an expensive sport, especially here in Israel, since travel and equipment transportation to the international regattas and training camps overseas involve high costs. The scholarship has helped us overcome all the difficulties and fulfill a dream: to participate at the Olympic Games!
Now we must work hard to achieve the real target:
An Olympic medal in the 470 class for Israel in 2004.
Thank you Olympic Solidarity, thank you ISAF
Respectfully and sincerely yours,
Gidi Kliger and Udi Gal - ISR 7"
With a fifth at the 2003 ISAF World Championship - 470 and a fourth at the 2003 470 Class World Championships, this pair are certainly in medal contention and ISAF wishes them every success in the final build-up to Athens and the 2004 Olympic Games.
